Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon (2013) ~ MOVIE REVIEW

Movie Mania, baru 2 hari kemarin admin mulai mereview film yang dinikmati hampir setiap malam. Sebetulnya, film ini sudah ngendon di koleksinya admin Movie Mania cukup lama, secara film ini produksi tahun 2013, dan tadi malam selepas menonton Alien: Covenant (2017) yang tidak tuntas :p, admin Movie Mania coba menonton Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon sebagai hiburan melewatkan malam.

Di Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Dragon, secara sekilas terlihat beberapa adegan menggambarkan genre silat china pada jaman kerajaan yang sepertinya akan membosankan, namun ketika menonton dari awal hanya dapat terlontar satu kata: mengejutkan. Ini seperti menggabungkan karakter Sherlock Holmes dan James Bond dalam diri seorang pendekar China kuno!

Secara garis besar film ini menceritakan petualangan detektif muda bernama Dee Renjie untuk menjadi penegak hukum di kawasan ibukota. Pada saat yang sama Kaisar China memerintahkan detektif Yuchie untuk memecahkan misteri monster laut yang meresahkan warga. Serangkaian kejadian penculikan terhadap gadis cantik untuk persembahan dewa oleh monster laut yang melibatkan salah satu pembuat teh ternama kerajaan membuat kedua detektif tersebut harus bahu membahu menyelamatkan kerajaan China dari ancaman kelompok separatis Dondo. Yang menarik bagaimana cara mereka membongkar dalang dibalik semua ini, sekaligus menghadapi monster naga laut yang mengingatkan admin Movie Mania tentang sosok Kraken di film Pirates of Carribean.

Sebuah film yang admin Movie Mania rekomendasikan untuk ditonton, selain dari sequelnya yang lebih dahulu beredar – Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame.
